You use a double negative in first section which means it says the opposite than what I hope you mean:

It’s _not never_ good idea to display your web server’s information as this can be a good gift to hackers in their reconnaissance mission.

Please, update your “hardening tips” document. It’s funny to see that you still use and publish an article with deprecated options like "Order deny,allow".

Sorry, but this is useless and outdated. What has been updated on September 18?

The setting is in /etc/apache2/conf-available/sercurity.conf. if you open the file, you will know how to make it working.
