2. Batman: Arkham Knight

Developed by Rocksteady Studios and Published by Warner Bros Entertainment, this game was released worldwide on June 23, 2015, which features one of the most popular comic hero, ‘The Batman‘ in an action packed adventure. This game is the successor of 2013 game, Batman: Arkham Origins.

Game’s Scene is set one year after 2011’s Batman: Arkham City as Batman faces Scarecrow, who caused the city-wide evacuation of Gotham City. Also, with help of mysterious Arkham Knight, he is able to unite Batman’s greatest foes to destroy Batman completely. Game emphasizes on Batman’s melee combat, skills and abilities. One thing that has been under criticism is the Batmobile which is introduced as a playable vehicle which can be used for transportation or combat.

Game’s music, graphics, combat and world designs attracted huge attention which made it fastest selling game of 2015 and also of Arkham Series, beating The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt which previously held the record. By October 2015, Game has sold 5 million units globally. The Game received 5 nominations for Golden Joystick Awards including: Best Story, Visual Design, Audio, Gaming Moment (The Return Of Joker), Game of the Year and Performance of the Year.

3. Mortal Combat X

Developed by NetherRealm Studios and Published by Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, this fighting video game was released worldwide on April 7, on iOS and April 14 on other platforms including Android Version releasing a bit late on April 21.

The game is similar to traditional fighting games, just adding new characters, and adjusting graphics and scenes which make it one of the best fighting games of 2015, as claimed by most of critics including Destructroid’s Chris Charter and VideoGamers.com’s Brett Phipps. Features that differentiate this game from other fighting games and lead to its success are: concept, environmental attacks, introduction of story mode and new components.

Game is claimed to be the Best Mortal Combat game ever. Warner Bros. Confirmed sale of 5 million copies worldwide till October, 2015.

4. Pillars of Eternity

A Role Playing game developed by Obsidian Developers, Pillars of Eternity was released on March 26, 2015 for windows, OSX and Linux. Game is considered to be the spiritual successor of famous game series Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale and Planescape: Torment.

The Games revolves around Hollowborn problem wherein the person is born without soul. Game is set around the protagonist “The Watcher” who can see souls and the past lives of people. Game is set at Eora, in a region in southern hemisphere called Eastern Reach. A scientific discovery shocks life there which says that souls can be stored, modified or transferred.

The Watcher discovers that souls of Hollowborn have actually been stolen by a cult named Laden Key, lead by priest named Thaos. The ending has been left open and depends on decision taken by Watcher.

This Game has received positive reviews overall and is currently listed on Metacritic with the Score of 89/100. It is claimed to be the best role playing game to come out in years. Apart from it, The Escapist rated it 5 starts and IGN, Game Informer also rated it above 9 out of 10.

    The List is so incredible wrong. Its just click bait! Wichter3, Mortal Kombat X, Lego and Batman has not released for linux. And the most of this games will never seen SteamOS. But there are a lot of good games for Linux. I recommend all of u guys to go to gamingonlinux.com. Best news site for penguingamers
