I couldn&#039;t find how to do that with &lt;strong&gt;GNOME Disks&lt;/strong&gt; initially. To change the partition label, you don&#039;t need to use &#039;&lt;strong&gt;Edit Partition&lt;/strong&gt;&#039; but rather &#039;&lt;strong&gt;Edit File System&lt;/strong&gt;.&#039; Duh! 

Thank you, GNOME people, for always making thaings easier for everyone.
