In reply to Abdul-Razak Yahaya. @Abdul, The only way to install updates offline is to download the latest version of RHEL ISO, mount it into the filesystem, and install the packages. Hi, how best can I patch security and some packages vulnerabilities without resorting to RHEL online repository.

P.S The node is not to be exposed to the Public Internet.

In reply to Jameslee. @Jameslee, I never tried this solution, but I think you could add this line exclude=* in /etc/yum.conf so that the package manager excludes every package from installs and updates.

I want to disable the auto update for all packages. In that case what will be the solution. Please help.
