Don't know why learn additional language and command option set (like those of firewalld/ufw/shorewall) when iptables syntax is very structured, flexible and not that hard by itself. My needs are satisfied completely by 'iptables-persistent' Ubuntu package and by iptables service in RHEL/CentOS.
