Good point on Fedora 40 being EOL.

That said, the current Icinga 2 upstream repository for RHEL/Rocky Linux 10 still ships via Fedora 40 based packages, so there’s no cleaner official path right now.

We’ll add a note in the article flagging this and keep an eye on when Icinga ships updated packages. If you’re aware of a better supported install path for Rocky Linux 10, drop it in the comments, happy to update the article with it.

Unfortunately, repoforge is currently unmaintained and outdated by its maintainers and seems to be decommissioned very soon. Try to use EPEL repositories project instead.
