In reply to abdu. @abdu, The command does not work on current Ubuntu releases because the kde-full metapackage has been deprecated and removed. Use this command:

sudo apt install kde-standard
OR
sudo apt install kde-plasma-desktop

@Praneeth,

You can install a GUI on your Ubuntu desktop by installing a desktop environment like GNOME, KDE, or XFCE.

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt install ubuntu-desktop     [GNOME]
sudo apt install xubuntu-desktop    [XFCE]
sudo reboot

After rebooting, you should see the GUI. If it still doesn’t work, let me know the error or issue you’re facing!
