The unit file does not include &lt;strong&gt;EnvironmentFile=/etc/varnish/varnish.params&lt;/strong&gt; so you will be banging your head against the wall when you start it and it doesn&#039;t do what you want - it&#039;s because it&#039;s not reading ANY of your configuration parameters. You will need to edit/replace/drop-in the default unit file.]]></description>
