For the sound issue in Nix, try checking &lt;code&gt;alsamixer&lt;/code&gt; for mute/low volume, and restart audio service (&lt;strong&gt;PipeWire&lt;/strong&gt; or &lt;strong&gt;PulseAudio&lt;/strong&gt;). If needed, install proper ALSA/firmware packages or use pavucontrol to switch output profiles.

Audio issues on older hardware are common, but usually easy to fix.]]></description>
