I’ve got an old &lt;strong&gt;Dell Optiplex 755&lt;/strong&gt; and ran into some issues with &lt;strong&gt;Zara&lt;/strong&gt;. Before the upgrade, I had to ignore &lt;strong&gt;Mesa&lt;/strong&gt; driver updates, since they don’t work well with older Intel graphics. Because of that, using the new &lt;strong&gt;HWE kernel 6.14&lt;/strong&gt; isn’t possible on these older machines.

So, in this case, it’s better not to do a fresh install of &lt;strong&gt;Mint 22.2&lt;/strong&gt;. Instead, upgrade from &lt;strong&gt;22.1&lt;/strong&gt; while staying on kernel 6.18&lt;strong&gt;, which is LTS until 2029. Also, make sure to ignore or lock Mesa driver updates if the system prompts you.]]></description>
