Hello friends, I’ve got an old Dell Optiplex 755 and ran into some issues with Zara. Before the upgrade, I had to ignore Mesa driver updates, since they don’t work well with older Intel graphics. Because of that, using the new HWE kernel 6.14 isn’t possible on these older machines. So, in this case, it’s better not to do a fresh install of Mint 22.2. Instead, upgrade from 22.1 while staying on kernel 6.18, which is LTS until 2029. Also, make sure to ignore or lock Mesa driver updates if the system prompts you.

Use the following command to remove that lock file and then give a try..its should work.

# sudo rm -rf /var/lib/dpkg/lock

sir i am trying to upgrade linux mint 15 but i am getting like this
