  1. I know that this is a minor point, but software is a collective and continuous noun, as opposed to a discrete noun (which would have a plural. Apple is an example of a discrete noun). Hence there is no plural form of it, so “softwares” isn’t even a word. When I write blog posts I say, “pieces of software” if I need to make software plural. Likewise program is a word similar (almost synonymous with software) that has a plural form, programs.
